the laptop im getting has a x700 with 128mb of dedicated, now it says it has hypermemory of upto 512mb, using the system memory?

why do they do this and is it any good or can you disable it taking the system memory?

It's just an easy way of giving the graphics card extra memory. Although it does take it from your system memory

I'm sure you'll be able to disable it in the bios
