UPDATED to include full new engine spec
NOW including latest engine bay pics
Ford Escort RS Cosworth ‘MONTE’ Number 014/200
1 of 74 right hand drive limited run commemorative Monte editions, now becoming extremely rare.
Build date commenced February 1994. Registered 1st August 1994, making this car one of the very last Large Turbo models.
I have owned this car since August 2002, after a long search to find the right one, in that time I have done approximately 13,000 miles.
There are two previous owners, NEITHER were a main dealer, the second had owned the car from May 1996. I have contact details available for both (to serious interested parties only).
Two A4 binders contain a FULL detailed and concise history totaling in the region of £25k in receipts and invoices including all previous MOT’s, detailing the 110k mileage.
A further £8-9k (PLUS Labour) has been spent on the car since June 2005, due to a melted piston.
Extremely well cared for throughout its life, I would suggest the car could safely be described as immaculate, near MINT condition throughout.
HPI Clear.
Never been welded, never been involved in an accident.
MOT till April.

Registration;

Body;
Mallard Green, with factory coluor coded door handles and fuel filler cap.
Waxoyled heavily throughout.
Gold coloured “Monte” logos on doors and bootlid, with an additional “serial number” decal on bootlid, rear “Ford” badge removed.
Morrette twin front headlights, dark smoked front fog lights, indicators and side repeaters, half smoked rear lights.
Colour coded front splitter.
CAT I alarm and immobiliser, incorporating window roll-up, dual zone proximity sensors, anti hi-jack etc and GPS tracking device (all fitted in 2002)
Interior;
Full Lux spec, with original (specific only to the Monte) cloth recaro interior (leather was not a factory option)
Factory fitted electric sunroof.
Standard Monte gearknob and handbrake button.
Custom made leather gear gaitor
Build number on dashboard.
Dash mounted Pectel control systems “Boost Pot”, allowing 12 position boost adjustment.
SECS Monitor fitted in custom made dash panel, buttons for this are mounted on the steering column shroud.
Original factory fitted 2000 radio cassette and optional in dash CD player (not shown in pictures).
(Kenwood not included)
Engine/transmission;
Full Engine rebuild by Harvey Gibbs at SCS, this has done 1200 miles (1k of those was running in).
Consisting of;
New oil pump, gaskets etc
BRAND NEW long studded 200 block.
Big wing sump baffled and windage tray, additional oil return union fitted.
Standard crank (Unground)
Brand new Mahle pistons, machined for lowered compression and valve cut outs (7.6:1)
Genuine WRC 4 layer steel Headgasket.
(bottom end good for 500 BHP)
Minor headwork around valve stems.
Obviously complete head rebuild including new lifters
Custom made Black Ignition leads
Dizzyless ignition (New Ford coilpack)
New light blue bosch injectors
T3/04 Turbo rebuilt incorporating 360 Thrust bearing
Genuine WRC Air to Air injectors, mounted on custom made bracket, hoses to/from these are fully braided with aeroquip fittings.
All pulleys have been Nickel plated.
Custom made Billet Alloy fuel rail, with Aeroquip unions and braided fuel lines
Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Pro Alloy RS500 style intercooler, which has been “Boxed” up to a genuine NEW Behr radiator.
New Bosch “023” high flow fuel pump.
3 Bar MAP sensor
Custom made Pectel control systems Engine loom, the original has been FULLY removed.
Pectel board in P8 ecu running a Harvey Gibbs/Ahmed Bayjoo, Dyno / Live map.
Engine made 375BHP and 380 lb/ft Torque in SCS’ Dyno cell.
Power Engineering Stainless steel exhaust system, Lambda Boss welded in downpipe, car also comes with a Power engineering stainless freeflow sports CAT MOT compliant
K&N ‘Monster’ cone induction kit and polished alloy trumpet.
Cam cover painted in body colour.
Alternator, starter motor and Front Diff have been painted in 2 pack silver and clear laquer
Powdercoated Subframe, alternator bracket, inlet manifold, thermostat housing and MAP sensor bracket.
Blue Samco boost hoses.
Black Samco ancillary water hoses.
GGR/Tarcal polished stainless, water header tank, mirror breather catch tank and 4 port breather kit, all with threaded unions/connections and aeroquip high pressure hoses.
Additional Main water hoses are blue Samcos.
Polished swirl pot
Spec-R Diaphragm dump valve fitted to cold side.
New Alcon six paddle clutch plate using a genuine Ford/AP clutch cover.
Gearbox recently replaced.
Quick / short shift gear linkage.
Suspension/Brakes;
Koni springs and dampers, 25mm lower.
Polybushed throughout.
Polished stainless steel dual spar strut brace, polished strut tops.
Powdercoated ARB and brackets
Front: AP Racing cp5200 4 pot calipers, recent AP Racing 315mm grooved discs Mintex pads.
Rear: Standard sized grooved rear discs recently replaced new calipers.
Steel over braided brake lines.
Wheels/Tyres;
Standard limited edition genuine Ford O.Z Racing alloys 8x16, with no signs of corrosion and no curb damage what-so-ever, the original "O.Z. Racing" graphics are still as they were when new, i.e. pressed on below the clear lacquer
Front tyres Avon CR228's, rears are Toyo Proxes T1-S, all in excellent condition as they have done far less than 3000 miles

TBH I'm not really one for part ex's, If I want a particular car I would rather view numerous examples and pick the best of the bunch if you get me.. I'm a bit para when it comes to Part-ex's

why damo? Dont do it mate if the reason is''lack of use''. I did that, i wanted some money to help renovate my 1st house, and also thought cos i hardly use it i may as well sell it and use the money from the sale. I regretted it ever since.,,hence why i have just bought the new one!

Well, that's beautiful. If I owned that and sold it to somebody here I would never return to the forums - couldn't bear somebody else to have it.
I love my S1 to bits, one of the best cars I have ever bought (out of 30 odd cars I have owned in the last 17 years or so) but yours is a serious sports car - I would happily put that alongside TVR's etc. What a stunner.
Do you have to sell mate?
What sort of money would you want for everything included - ice, plate etc...?

The sounds... dunno really, I dont actually expect it to go with the car really...

First post ive done, only 17 so sorry not buying lol, anyway i checked this car on here b4 a few day ago, and this morning when i was in woolwich i'm sure i see ya car, it was bout 4.30 pm, i say this coz the number plate on the car i see looked da same as urs. Anyway good luck selling..........
