2000 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 convertible
For sale due to an impending house move. As my new house has a smaller garage i have also decided to list one of my other toys (hope the mods don't mind it not being ford related). Maybe of interest to someone on here as a gold plated investment, these things are starting to rocket in value
FOR SALE-
2000 w reg 996 Carrera 2 Tiptronic convertible
Factory hardtop
68000 miles with previous MOTs
Arctic silver
Blue leather
heated seats
blue soft top
Xenon headlights
Tiptronic gearbox
Stainless designtec sports silencers
Bluetooth phone
Climate control
2 sets of alloys- original twist 18" wheels(rear tyres worn) 18" veloce wheels with good avon tyres
2 keys
immobiliser(2 keys)
The car isn't perfect (but it also isn't £15k!). If i was being picky i would say the paint needed attention in a couple of places (slight peeling around rear parking sensors, slight peeling in rear number plate hole and a couple of small parking dings on drivers door as you would expect with a 15 year old car.
I have only had the car since february and in that time i have done the following jobs-
New front ARB links
veloce wheels/tyres
new passenger side window regulator
removed exhaust system, replaced manifold studs, replaced cat hanger, replaced cat-silencer sleeves and refitted exhaust
replaced number plate lights with LEDs
Been into OPC at sheffield for roof re-calibration
Bad points-
Car was cat-d in 2005 (i suspect due to a rear end accident hence bumper paint and new exhaust as mentioned above)
Roof was acting up but after re-calibration at Porsche is now working fine again (although to be honest i have only used it once since before refitting hardtop)
Polished part of Veloce wheels have slight salt tracks under lacquer
Rear o/s lamp has discoloured slightly on white section (looks like it has been repaired but is steaming up)
Ignition switch is starting to stick but i have parts coming to hopefully sort that this week
Thats about it i think. The car drives perfect, pulls well in all gears and the gears change as they should. Sounds lovely with the sports exhaust system. Everything works as it should and with a little work it could make a really nice car and future classic
I am looking for £9000 for the car which i think is fair for such a low mileage example despite the small issues. I paid £10500 in february and have spent around another £1500 on it since but am willing to sell on here to a forum member for £9000
i will post more pics when i next get the car out but for now i will post what i have
Thanks for looking
