1990 G reg XR2i, hopefully the pictures speak a thousand words but here's some info anyway, the car began life in Italy having 1 lady owner over there, she relocated to the UK in 2008 and brought the car back with her, it was obviously UK registered at that time, she kept the car until last year when reluctantly it had to be traded in for a car with power steering, it has since had 2 owners, whilst living in the UK she was making trips to and from Italy so it's definately reliable, i have service history from 08 documenting regular servicing including a cam belt change, the Italian part of the history has been misplaced by the chap i got it from, if it should turn up it will be forwarded on but assume it won't just to be on the safe side, i bought the car with the intention of keeping the miles off my concours xr3i, i have been to the XROC Coventry meet, RSOC lakes tour and most recently Tatton Park, the last couple of shows this year i plan to use the Escort so it's time for this to find a new home, i have used it a lot tbh, pretty much everyday when the sun has been shining, it's a cool little car, condition wise it's very good, i wax oiled the car when i got it, i took the underside pictures just prior to this so you can see nothing is hidden, it has NEVER been welded, all the usual Fiesta MK3 areas are spot on, floors, sills inner sills, A posts, boot floor, arches, fuel cap etc, it doesn't have a sunroof but has opening rear quarter windows, quite rare i believe?? Interior wise she is very good, cigarette lighter and ash tray are unused, dash is good, carpets clean, the 2 front seat bases have gone baggy with the heat, the car originally came without a radio, the blanking plate is here, a nice Kenwood cd player with usb and ipod socket has been fitted. The paint is good and polishes up well, it's had paintwork in it's life time, probably scuffs and scrapes repaired, you know how Italians drive and park, it has not had any rust repairs and does not need any Being very critical it could do with the bumpers redoing, they're ok if it's for daily use but for shows not quite up to scratch, there is some filler in the boot lid which has started to crack, i've had a look behind and there is a small dent which has been filled, it is not rust, wheels are ageing too so could do with a freshen up, i've tried to show everything in the pictures, i'll add a link as there are more pics on line, all in all this is a really good car and possibly the cheapest way into a classic ford nowadays if you just want to jump in and drive/show, the car in the right hands could be made stunning, we all know how badly these mk3 Fiestas are for rot, a life time in the sun has preserved this car really well, if you are interested please pm me or call on 07921 089233
