Default Escort Rs Turbo - Series 2

Ford Escort Rs Turbo Series 2 – Diamond White
107k Genuine mileage
10 months Mot
5 Months Tax
Ford racing Gauges
Koni Adjustable suspension
Stainless exhaust
Collins -31 actuator
DV26 Dump valve
Braided brake hoses

Here is my pride and joy, ive owned her since June 2009 and only covered around 4k miles in this time, in my ownership the car has had a part restoration and spray job. Ive had the rear arch sections replaced also. Over the past winter ive stripped the rear down to include removal of rear trailing arms, hubs, ARB basically everything from the fuel tank back, everything has been powdercoated it either black or blue and upon re-fitting ive fitted a new polybush kit, while I was fitting these parts I also purchased new brake shoes, bearings, hand brake cable, and most expense of all was the purchase of a new fuel pump bracket from autospecialist. The underside would still require another coat of underseal to finish it off. A lot more has been done to the car and I have pretty much every picture available on the bits that have been done, Unfortunalty leaving the car outside 365 days a year is not ideal and on certain parts its starting to show.
Ive also part fitted from polybushes as well, including polybush bump stops, New front brake calipers discs and pads,
Here are the good points:-

· Low mileage for year
· Body mods kept original – including original amber fronts and sides, spot lights, and Mud flaps
· Good condition interior
· Starts first time everytime, and it doesn’t burn a drop of oil.
· ABS has been removed
· Great condition ford rubber mats
· Rebuild Speedo cluster to remove old crusty and flaking gauges

As you would imagine there are a few bad points due to the age of the car, all of which anyone who would want to take this car on would make the car very tidy again. These points include:-

· Slight bubbling has come back in a small amount on the sunroof
· Sunroof doesn’t operate correctly (this may need a small amount of oil which I can look at to sort)
· The car needs some welding cleaning up on the underside, one small section in the passenger footwell, and drivers footwell and a section to the rear inner sil – all of which have been done in the past but not to a high standard (may need grinding back only)
· Slight bubbling to front bumper – have been told this could be water in the primer.

I will be sorry to see her go, and ive very reluctant but needs must, The car is by no means mint but a very good base to go on with, if I didn’t need a deposit for a house I would certainly keep her. If you need any information please drop me a message.
