mk4 escort popular 77k red
Mk4 escort bonus. It is in extremely good condition for its age. Perfect for a rs turbo re-shell. What makes this even better is that it is a non sunroof model. Anyone with a more luxury model (xr/ghia/rs) will tell you the reason the floors are falling out are due to the sunroof drains blocking/leaking which causes the water to run inside the car. You wont have that with this. When i was looking for a run about i wanted a mk3 or 4 escort.
At the time i couldnt find any mk3's and all the mk4's i looked at were dogs. It took ages till i found this one. Ive had it over a year now and its been great for the 4000miles it has been used. Not a single issue even in winter. EVERYTHING WORKS!!! even the rear wiper. Ive had over 20 rs turbo's in my time and 95% of them the rear wiper tended to sit there for looks as they never worked lol. Under the bonnet is extremely solid. No rot around the battery tray or fuse box.All original. Like ive said perfect for a conversion. All the floor pans are perfect, again all original. Original wings. Dash is in good condition. Comes with all mots and service history. Hpi clear THeres a few stone chips and marks around it as you would expect on an original 20+ year old car. Very very minor though. A very small dink on the passenger door, couple little dinks on the bonnet.
These could be taken out by a dent removal man though......wouldnt need painting. On one of the rear arches its had a rubbish little patch. I was aiming to re-do it but never got round to it. One the other rear arch its started to bubble up. Only surface so nothing to worry about. Again an easy fix.Very solid. Inside the boot these is a bit of scabbing apearing on the offside turret.Very solid, just needs a wire brush to clean up. Im picky myself and im going a bit extreme with detail regarding pointing out these bits. It had these issues when i purchased it and they have not got any worse in the year ive had it. Dont let this put you off as it is a stunning example of a 80's classic ford. There cant be many left like this as they dont even pop up much on here now and ive been looking...... the car is currently on 77722 miles but will rise very slightly as i will still be useing it for work this week.
Mot runs out may next year. Tax runs out end of this month but will stick 6 months tax on for the winner. I am not in need of another car so please dont try to offer swaps etc. I am located at the top of the m3 motorway near twickenham. Viewing welcome. you will not be disapointed.
Also forgot to mention it went straight though the mot with one advisery. offside trackrod end has slight play. I bought one but if i dont get time to fit it will supply it with the car. Also the drivers door card has ripped as is the drivers seat is a worn on the edge.
The lowest i will take for this is £900 with 6months tax or £850 without. not a penny less as i would rather keep it than let it go for less. Im not being greedy like most do on ebay. Just want my money back i paid for it.
thanks for looking

PS3 - MikeyRobbo
Lovely example!
A little tip, split your description up into paragraphs, kept reading the same line twice Easier to read and make sense of in paragraphs and more people will take the time to read it.
