1985 (c) Ford Escort Rs Turbo Series One - Non Custom !
I am advertising this car on behalf of my brother..
1985 (C) FORD ESCORT RS TURBO SERIES ONE - NON CUSTOM ! RARE!!
ROLLING SHELL PROJECT.
GENUINE RS TURBO SHELL SUPPLIED WITH I.D. & V5.
BOUGHT THIS A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO AS A ROAD LEGAL TRACK/RALLY CAR. IT HAD RECENTLY FAILED ITS MOT, REQUIRING QUITE A BIT OF WELDING.
MY PLAN WAS TO BASICALLY WELD IT BACK TOGETHER AND RACE/RALLY IT. UNFORTUNATLY DUE TO A VARIETY OF REASONS IT HAS NEVER BEEN COMPLETED. I HAVE NOW ADMITTED DEFEAT AND ITS GOT TO GO TO A NEW HOME!
Lots of the welding work has been done but still requires more work yet, perfect summer project for someone with the time and tools at hand.
A new floor had just been welded in before i got it, this was done over the top of the old floor so it has a double thickness floor!!
It has had new pattern wings and front panel fitted by me when i got the car and a battery tray at some point before i got it.
Structually its now pretty sound, cosmetically there is still bodywork to do, such as the rear wheel arches and lower rear panel.
This sale includes about 90% of a complete car, i will attemp to list as much of the bits present and missing below, also SEE PICS!
Although this car is a non-custom model it has at some point been fitted with electric windows and opening rear quarter windows.
Comes with:
TSW 17" alloy wheels x 4 ( 2x GOOD tyres, 2x BAD)
2x standard odd S1 alloys (1x tyre, 1x without)
Nearly new front KONI shocks, nearly new lowering springs all round.
All glass (inc elec windows)
Genuine Bodykit:
(some bits painted red)
4x wheel arches (+1 spare rear arch)
4x side skirts ( 2 sets!)
Front apron (+1 fibreglass apron) (no tow eye cover)
Front grill
2x adjustable door mirrors
Rear spoiler (v good condition)
All light lenses & spotlights inc. brackets!!
+ All screw cover caps !!
Interior:
Carpet
Complete front doors cards (v good) (inc all handles, fittings, etc), no rear seat cards.
Boot cards, no boot carpet
Dashboard (inc glovebox, cointray, Steering cowling, heater matrix, vents and tubes, etc), has some cracks in it. No clocks.
Rear seats (both parts) No Recaros.
Momo steering wheel.
Lots of bits of plastic trim, A,B,C pillar, etc.
Engine/Mechanicals:
The engine is out of the car and seperated into two halves plus the ancillaries. I have engine build bills for over £3000. heres what you get...
Fiesta RST complete bottom end, all balanced, etc and including £750 RACE CONRODS !!!!!!
Stage 3 gas flowed head, Piper cam, Vernier wheel, etc. Powdercoated rocker cover.
Inlet plenum chamber inc throttle body, etc. Powdercoated.
Gearbox with L.S.D and uprated big bearings & uprated clutch.
Genuine petrol tank & fuel pump.
Brake master cylinder & all brake lines.
Starter motor, Alternator, etc.
Complete wiring loom, Stalks, Switches, Roof clock, etc.
Wiper motors, Water tanks, Interior fan, airbox.
+ lots of other odds n ends.
Missing parts: (from what i can tell at a glance)
No gear selector.
No Turbo.
No Intercooler.
No Front brake discs or callipers.
No clocks.
No Recaros.
No Headlining.
No exhaust.
No Front bumper.
No Parcel shelf.
No Front speaker covers.
I have loads of bills/invoices to go with the car and a lot of old MOT's. also a dyno sheet for the engine: 209bhp.
obviously, the car will need to be trailered away.
