Peugeot 206 Grande Tourisme
need to get rid of this asap.. bought it in error really, cant really fit the baby, dog and pushchair in it!
Will add some pics over the weekend..
Really nice straight rare car...
Peugeot 206 GTI GRANDE TOURISME
1999 ‘V’ Reg, 81,000 miles
· Full Peugeot service history,
· Recent full service and cambelt,
· 4x New Falken XE502 Tyres,
· Recent discs and pads,
· Both original keys with ‘key card’,
· Remote central locking,
· Electric windows,
· Electric folding mirrors,
· Rain sensitive wipers,
· Twin and side airbags
· 6 disc CD changer,
· Steering wheel audio remote,
· Digital climate control,
· Air conditioning (freezing cold).
I only bought this car a few months ago and Sadly I need to sell it already! The only reason for this is having a very small child and a dog, it is a bit impractical!. I kind of bought it ‘ spur of the moment’ with always owning small ‘sporty’ cars, but I am really struggling with fitting the buggy etc. in the back of this, so I have had to purchase something bigger..
The car is in very very good condition, The wheels have been recently re-furbished so are very good, the engine is really nice and smooth, I haven’t really got any bad points for the car apart from its too small for me! – The drivers seat has slight cracking to the leather but this seems to be quite common on all GTI’s and GT’s.
I bought it off a gentleman who was a Peugeot mechanic so it has been very well looked after with a good history.
The car is completely standard and not been ‘messed with’ by boy racers, but with it being a limited edition ‘Grande tourisme’ it has all the extras!
Here is some information on this model….
The 206 Grand Tourisme was born out of necessity. In 1998 Peugeot wanted to re-enter rallying at the top class level. The regulations stated that the vehicle must be at least 4 metres in length. Obviously the 106 would not be eligable, despite its success in its 'maxi' form. The 306 was getting a little long in the tooth, and Peugeot was keen to follow the success that the 205 had previously brought them. There was a slight problem. The 206 was only 3.8metres in length. Peugeot hit upon the simplest of ideas - to extend the bumpers. The stylists were then charged with wrapping the revised package in a functional and attractive package.
That was the first hurdle out of the way. The second requirement that had to be met was that 2500 road going examples had to be built. The special limited edition 'Grand Tourisme' was born. there were 4000 Gran tourisme vehicles built, of which 1000 were of uk RHD spec. All models were only available in silver. Unique 6.5 x 16 wheels were fitted, along with 195/45/16 VR rated tyres.
The engine and gearbox is identical to that of the 206 GTI, being a 2 litre 137 ch transverse four cylinder, giving the car a factory quoted performance of 0 to 100 kph in 8.4 seconds.
The last service on the car was done on 28/04/07 which was a full service and included cambelt and brake fluid change..
The MOT expires on 16th of October 2008.
The TAX expires on 30th April 2008.
If you have any questions about the car or would like to arrange to view it then please either Email me or call me on – 07967 434527..
Thanks for looking
Emily…
Sorry.. a price might help £3150 ono...
