she really is a minter

solid in all the right places, and the only rust is as mentioned, but its minor and cosmetic, structurally sound, which is awesome for its age

little bit of effort to get it minty fresh and i dnt doubt it could be concourse standard

good luck dude

WTF, I went to see this car and to class it as above is silly.

Yea it is a Clean Car etc and maybe worth the £2400ish that was asked for it.

Ive had Other RS1600is, so maybe i just knew what i was looking at

Not trying to spoil the sale as it is a Nice Car but having went 100s of miles in the past to view cars not as described, its best to be hounest to people.

so please do enlighten me how my statement was so far from the truth?

what in your eyes makes this car impossible to make it of show condition?

because to my knowledge, if the shell is solid and clean, and has straight panels, good paint, and the only defects happen to be either minor surface corrosion, or simple bolt on bolt off panels, then a little bit of effort swappin doors, bit of minor rust treatment n a bit of paint by the right people, and its mint!!! all the underside needs is a clean up and reapply underseal, its solid and original!!

oh and a drivers seat of course

i stand by my statement, with a bit of loving, and in the right hands, this could be show condition

if people wish for me to take pics of the important parts, such as the solid floorpans, chassis legs, bootfloor, front inner wings, front panel, etc, then i have no problems doing this for az if he has no digi cam to do so

It looks and the initial description seems to tally up with the pictures.

However, having seen the standard of a concourse (spelling) car, this is still a very long way away judging by the pictures, those cars are like brand new and you could eat your dinner of any part

Lets leave the pictures and the initial description do the talking,

Looks a good in good condition to me

ok, so maybe concourse was a tad higher of expectations than some would think, but it is genuinely a really genuine, really solid base to build up into an absolute beauty. already is gorgeous now tbh, just needs a tiny bit of tlc here n there.

stil believe she cud b built into something really special, every project gotta start somewhere, and this is an awesome startin point

id recommend anybody interested to make the effort to have a look, that description is honest as possible, in the flesh its a lovely motor, and i get jealous havin to look at it parked at work, knowing my rs is stuck in the garage still being rebuilt lol

Cheers fella.

i should clear that 1 up about the door. i meant if it was to be pristine and show worthy, it wud need the door dropped off to have the slight bubbling on the bottom edge dealt with, but its by no means a fucked door, its straight with gleaming paintwork, as is the other.
