Hmm, tempting, but it's the distance that puts me off, I bought the car from glasgow area, so I know how expensive it is and how bloody long it takes to get up there and back

Aye, know what you mean,

I bought the Escort from Paul @ NYRSS and the XR2 down in Southampton, now that was a long drive up the road with only a 4sp gearbox

Sorry mate your wrong.

ALL Evo 6's ARE IMPORTS.

Ralliart did import some for the Uk market, but....

Ralliart was not part of mitsubishi, which is why they are now called Xtreme UK

Which is why ALL 6's are imports.

Really not tryin to start a debate on your sale add but i can bet you all my money that the evo 6 was made for u.K spec also. i will confirm it for you in a bit as got a few evo owner m8s.

my best m8s dad bought one brand new when they came out and it was from ralliart in dudley in full u.k spec. also the reason why top gear and fifth gear featured them....

They were sold as brand new, zero miles on the clock from ralliart showrooms. japanese evos 280hp and u.k spec exhaust restrictors removed and upped to 310hp iirc. i am prety sure they are u.k spec built.

I THINK.

but still good luck on the sale

LOL

Ralliart in dudley is now called xtreme uk, they used to be called ralliart, but had nothing to do with mitsubishi or colt car company.

They used to import the evo's direct from japan and convert them to uk spec, which was basicly a bumper mounted fog light, and a couple of bubble badges, oh and english print on the sunvisors.

There was no mods to increase power done on a std evo 6 that they sold.

They did create special editions, such as the extreme (notice the name), RSX (which is an RS2 with different interior and a different badge) and an RS450, which was 450lb ft.

However they did sell addon's so im sure a few ppl bought brand new cars that had the ralliart ecu fitted from new.

Got the car booked into mitsi this weekend for the warranty recall on the rear suspension arms to be done (don't think there is anything wrong with them, but it's free so may aswell get it done now).

So sorry can't do anything this weekend.

BTT for a great car.

I used to run one of these, the RSII, very rare EVO and probably the best version of the EVO VI (I've had all versions, GSR, RS and TME and RSII).

RSII combines day to day useability of a GSR with the brilliance of the RS.

So you get aircon and e/windows and gear ratios good enough for motorway use but you still quick rack steering and a titanium turbo with zero lag, lighter (up to 90kgs lighter) and best of all NO crappy AYC to get in the way of things.

If you've never owned an EVO this would be a good starting point, it will blow your mind after driving a Cosworth

Car looks the dogs
Id be interested if i was back in england as im gonna look out for a nice evo 6 i think
Tell me something though, i thought this AYC was the whole point of having the evo as that what it always gets raved on about
Also does it make the handling better or worse without?
Oh and free bump BTW

AYC is for girls (or men that can't drive )

Nah seriously, AYC is great for getting the car around a corner quickly.

However it kind of takes over, the car will do it's own thing, and if your pushing the car hard, it can cut in at the wrong moment.

The RS's have a stronger rear diff (alot stronger), and they handle far better imo, as you are in complete control, if you get the arse out, then you have to bring it back in, when you want, with ayc if you manage to get the arse out, it will bring it back in when it wants to.

As for making the handling better or worse, that depends on how good a driver you are

If you can drive, then the handling is much better.

However if you can't or your not as good as you think you are, then a GSR with AYC will be a better option as it will make you look like you can drive

Preference is white with black leather and 4x4 bonnet.

But if you have a mint 2wd saph and fancy a mint evo 6 then let me know

Ok guys, I'm no longer in a hurry to sell, which is just aswell as it's xmas.

Im gonna leave it up for sale, but won't be bumping it so often.

Just bought some new bits for it, so once there fitted and it's been remapped power should be in excess of 380bhp
