Default Lovely Smokestone 4x4 Saphire Cosworth SALE ON HOLD !!!

It is with a heavy heart that i have decided to advertise my Cosworth for sale (real tears) I have spent the last two years setting up my own business,a Carnoisseur Shop, and have come to the very difficult conclusion that i dont have time to keep this car in the condition its in now, also because i had to sell my house to finance the business and the house we have now doesn,t have a garage

The car was first registered onto the Ford Fleet Demonstrater Programme on the 2nd October 1992 at Pertwee And Blacks. It has had 6 previous keepers and is well known in RS circles. The current milage is 81500 and to give you an idea of its usage the milage was 76737 when the car was serviced by MA Developments on the 24th April 2004 and 71220 on the 19th April 2000!

The car has a complete service history and the last service was done at A1 Rallysport on the 24th February this year where it had a full Service,a new joint in the main Propshaft and a couple of new metal brake lines on the rear as these were starting to show some surface corrosion.
It also had the front diff rebuilt by Bernie at Competition Transmission services in August last year.

The MOT was done 2 weeks ago and the TAX runs out at the end of August.

The car has all original panels and was fully resprayed a few years ago by a particulally maticulous previous owner to remove scratches and chips and whilst it has picked a few minor marks now it does still look stunning. It has a small scab on one of the rear arches on the thin bit by the rear door shut. This has been there since i first saw the car four years ago and has not grown. It would be easy to repair but i thought it better to leave it alone so people don,t think i,ve bogged the arches up.

It was converted to Stage 1 in July 1999 and has led a very easy life since. It has AVO suspension and probably nearly every stainless item Spec R ever made under the bonnet.

The interior is spotless and the leather is exceptional.I was hoping to keep the Cherished number that is on the car C2WTH as it means a lot to me but removing it means dealing with the DVLA which i find is like swimming through treacle If you dont want the number then i,ll knock an amount off and put the plate on retention. Hopefully everything else you will need to know about the car will be apparent in the photos but any questions just call.

The price is £7950 ,not the cheapest Saph in the world but definately one of the nicest. Any questions call Gary on 07843052460

P.S the stickers shown on the doors were only on for two weeks to help me promote my business and have now been removed and have not left any marks.

Just to add to what gaz had said.
I know gaz well, and know how much he hates to face the fact that he has to part with the car.
This car is in absolutely great condition, and is maintained no matter what the cost.
Whoever buys the car won't be disappointed, veiwing is definately recommended.

Hi Gaz,

Just received your PM.... I was actually looking (as I have been since I sold her) for pictures etc.

Yes I was the previous keeper to Gaz and the car did leave a 'very sheltered life'! She was always garaged, serviced and maintained ... from what I recall, it only did approx 4000 miles in my 3 plus years of ownership

I can only re-iterrate Gaz's account/description of the car and that the new owner will not be disappointed!

If it helps at all Gaz

...........and .. the day she left me!!

Good luck Gaz

Huw

Yea I am m8, I bought the car standard and added the suspension, Spec-r etc etc etc etc etc.

I only sold it as my missus fell pregnant and need to sort dome £'s out. Biggest mistake I ever made selling it, fanastic car, In 18months of ownership I never had a prob. Think I sold the car about 5 year ago and it had 71k ish on it then so ppl can see she has done much work since!!!!

Cracking car!!!!

My new shop opens in 3 days and as a result i seem to be constantly on the phone I had three people ring me about the car today whilst i was on other calls and none of the messages they left included their phone numbers so i cant back to them. The car is still for sale so if i dont return your call you know the reason why

Cheers Gaz !

I,ve taken the car off the market for the moment for a couple of reasons. Firstly i dont want to sell the plate so i,m going to bite the bullet and remove it. Secondly what with my new business just taking off i simply dont have time to deal with selling it at the moment
