Some have more pins than others
And some have a square fitment hazzard switch and some have a round one
Both, as far as I'm aware, work with any car so it shouldn't be a problem but you will be able to tell the difference as the later ones were rounder than the earlier ones, and I'm not on about mk1 and mk2's
