noisy engine

my ka is 2000 reg and its done about 60,000 miles and the engine is noisy so i had the tappets done and serviced but it has made no differents any ideas what it got be :cry

It could be timing belt tensioners- they sound like tappets when they rattle, Is it due a timing belt change- if so have the guides and tensioner checked/replaced also- may as well whilst the belt is being done!
