The PC Suite that came with the 7610 doesn't appear to have any provision for it.
I have attempted to transfer the contents from one phone to another, and it lists the items it will copy. They are Contacts, Notes and Calender
if you make a back up of the phone contents it also backs up the messages, thats the forth option along with contacts notes and calender, then under the 4 tick boxes there is another box.... back up memory card details also!
do mine regular, total back up of everything including call log etc!!
