The legal limit is 1.6mm and you were at 1.7mm a month ago? I reckon there's a good chance you are under the limit now.

As a major fleet operator, and in common with most of the industry, we change all our tyres at 2mm, but lots of people say they should be changed at 3mm.

Most of the part-worn tyres sold in this country are the ones that have reached the higher legal limits elsewhere in europe, then get shipped off here for a second life.
