Default FAO - Anyone who has restored a car Re Kurust

Basically I am restoring the underside of my RST at the moment. The plan so far has been to cut out and replace all the badly corroded areas which has been done.

There are other areas which are corroded (which I can't replace, i.e. spare wheel well) which I have cleaned up using a stiff wire brush attachment on a grinder, then use a Rust Eating product (i.e. Hammerite Kurust) and then use an anti-rust primer. I'm just worried that after all this hard work the rust will just come back through again??

n.b. the metal was fairly clean and silver but was still pitted.

Has anyone had any experiance with the above products and methods?? Did the rust come back again??

Sand blasting the underside of the car has been mentioned to me a couple of times. Has anyone done this? Is it something I can do at home in the garage (i.e. rent a portable sand blaster??) Is it a difficult job?
