Stu - not too sure what the rant was all about I don't think anyone was saying a good service isn't worth paying for and not too sure whether the comment was aimed at me being the first post starter

As an experienced ebayer, I think the general concensus is that you charge for the stamp, and the package. In this case this would be 39p for a padded envelope (going by my P.O.) and a 50p approx stamp! If you are selling something, it is assumed you go to the trouble of stopping at the P.O. yourself! The reason being, that its a private sale, and you want to sell your (spare) item! Otherwise, if you re-saling items for a profit, you'd be a business, and would presumably be VAT registered- in which case OK, charge what you want! As someone already said, there is nothing worse than paying through the snotter for a postal service, supposedly recorded frst class, and then having the item turn up wrapped in used tissue in a brown envelope- and any ebayer will tell that this has happened! For every one honest chap, there is 5 con artists on ebay, hoping to scam on many things, postage being one!

But that don't matter really, we were only poking gentle fun at C! (well I was!)

You sound thoroughly deflated mate- no offence intended!
