I had a welded diff for my Sapphire that I used to fit for drag racing (as I got fed up with breaking 6 diffs in 18 months ). It was awesome for drifting, and providing you did parking on grass / gravel (at Santa Pod) was fine. On the road, the back end would "hop" on tight corners and it would make the front push on. Only ever raced it once, as I then got a Quaife.
