Basically the head gasket went, so took the head off etc.
Refitted it all with a new thermostat etc and noticed now it will start slowly but surely making it's way into the red on the temp gauge.
When the head was off i changed the temperature sender for the gauge for a new one.
Today i installed a fan override switch, as it's been a bit warm lately thought it could be that but it doesn't make much difference.
I have got all the air locks out.

Now i'm a bit stuck, could it be the water pump???

On a series 1 btw.
