Help! I've been trying to get the crank pulley bolt undone, just two questions:

1, which way to undo, been trying to do it anticlock

2, put hand brake on, engaged 1st gear, put brake pedal lock on but the pulley still turns, can this do any damage to force the engine in the wrong direction.
