ive left the original thread start as follows but recent finished(ahem) pics are from page 3! cheers for your comments.

help ,my s2 wont run,firstly its my new car,and was a non runner,the seller said the meter head was goosed ,so i bought a good un and he fitted it,but still not running,what happens is it fires up sweet,when cold,ticks over fine,the fuel pump is buzzing along ok then after a few minutes the fuel pump goes mad (speeds up)and seems to flood the engine causing it to cut out,(or backfire if you apply the throttle),things ive replaced along with the meterhead are , new battery,injectors,plugs+ fresh fuel,but still she doesnt run.Now,,, this owner also replaced the original slam panel,due to rust,,and failed to mention to me that the ecu was not disconected while welding was done,could the ecu be fried?i thought it wouldnt run at all if the ecu was trashed,he also dismantled the original meterhead (to clean if you please)hence the replacement by me,other than that + a few things like bushes discs and a good clean under neath the cars a nice one,its just a little headache at the moment,the motors dyno is 145bhp + 185 trq, k+n,magnex full system+samco with dump valve,its not taxed or motd so getting it to a garage is a hard one+ its not running right,oh yes can i buy a new fuelpump cage as the original is hanging off,or will i have to bracket it up? any help would be greatly appreciated,ta colin
