Hi, I know this is an old thread and the chances of getting answers are slim, but I’m going to try anyway!
I’m in the process of installing a JRSC (Jackson Racing Supercharger) and some other upgrades similar to yours (JRSC, strut bar, ST170 discs, WMI, ST170 manifold) on my Blacktop Cougar, and I have a few questions since it should be similar to installing it on a Mondeo. Here are my questions:
- Did you follow the instructions for installation JRSC(https://imgur.com/7nEB7), and if, was everything the same as described?
- I've seen mention that I need to use a Focus alternator – is this necessary?
- Where did you install the WMI (Water-Methanol Injection) – before SC in the intake pipe or in the jrsc plenum?
- Did you install the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor in the jrsc manifold? If so, where exactly?
- Is there anything else I should be aware of or modify during the installation?
- I noticed you have a strut bar installed – did you use a back plate for it?
- When upgrading the brakes, did you use braided hoses from a Mondeo MK2 or MK3?
- I also saw you have ST170 manifold, were there any issues or modifications needed for that?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
