I think the centre push hydraulic clutch conversion is the way to go.. Years back when I still had a cable operation mine was just the same , Virtually no play at all , 1 inch or less of movement which was a nightmare in slow traffic!!! As you know the T5 is not the best for smooth gear changes so having a strong clutch which works properly is vital!!
