Interesting. I think if I was to go down the DSG route, it would be in a VAG car, rather than having to have all the conversion parts made for another engine. Will do some digging and see what the ratios look like.
Gearboxes in rally cars are a pain in the arse unless you have deep pockets.
Agreed hence why I went down the twin clutch route. The Samsonas was going to cost me north of £13k and I had to provide the transfer.
All the conversion parts I designed and had made or made myself.
