Gotta laugh at the negative comments aimed at the newer Fords, the same was said about cossies and turbos back in the day no doubt, in fact a well known club and forum had a couple of slogans one was “no Cosworths or RS turbos allowed” and “plastic is not fantastic”

personally I bought a newer fast ford five years ago as it for me it was the thing to do, I pumped thousands in my Sapphire Cosworth and it was time to move on after 13 years of ownership, do I think any less of Cosworths or any other classic Fords NO! I Just wanted a newer car with all the mod cons so I bought one.

I still do shows and meets etc but not as much as I used to. I’ve got two children who are growing up fast, priorities change and I think a lot of people are in the same boat, every hard working person across this land struggles to make ends meet and keep their heads above water I’d imagine, suddenly spending money on cars and smoking around in them is just not important anymore, a lot of these shows are repetitive, you’ve done one you’ve done them all sort of thing, and from what I see everything goes up in price but wages stay the same, a couple of you above have talked wages lol when I was 19 I was taking home £105.46p per week and a 4x4 saph cos was 25 grand, way out of reach for me lol I bought a 2.8i Capri with a 2 grand loan

anyway thus ends my tuppence worth
