So does it shut the engine down completely if a sudden drop in oil pressure is detected? I presume it is much quicker than noticing a drop in an oil pressure gauge which can be to late to save an engine.
it has stages in the drop , so a slight drop would limit boost/RPM and a great increase that reaches your cut off pressure can indeed shut the engine down.
