Quick on as I can not explicitly find anywhere that says the now £86 genuine ford pink relay or even a still steeply priced £39 fuel pump relay from Euro car parts be substituted for a generic 5 pin two throw relay from a an auto electrics store for a fiver?

even £39 seems mad for a relay to me? Obviously when fault finding the Pink relay is the one to have but if it doesn’t fix my issue I know I can just send it back through eBay rules / distance selling act etc but really don’t like to do that sort of thing

just wondering what makes the pink one so special does it’s larger size indicate it does something a generic 5 pin two throw doesn’t do specific to the ford system
