My Mk1 was a 1.6 but was the Yamaha developed Zetec-S. 99bhp standard, mine had a s/s cat-back and dyno'd at 106bhp.
The same 1600 was used across the range and was co developed between Mazda and Yamaha.
The Fiesta Zetec S then borrowed it.
The 1.4 is also the same engine, just smaller.
Early ones had Zetec S on the cam cover, while later ones had Zetec SE.
