I have fitted a 6" touch screen ICE. I am trying to fit a reversing camera. All the installation is ok except for the signal wire st the head unit to tell the unit to switch to the camera. I have connected this trigger to the reversing light fuse by means of a piggy back connecter. When you engage revers the camera works but the reversing light and sensors don't. Remove the camera connection and everything works as normal except the camera.
I am thinking that something is sensing the additional current required to trigger the head unit to switch modes is shutting down the system. The car is a 2002 MK1 Automatic. any advice work around would be welcome.
