That’s why I was wondering tooth contact pattern ect, what backlash do you set your diff at for competition? I set mine to 0.15mm which I believe is a bit on the slack side going off what the manual recommended.
I build many diffs and gearbox’s at work we are a transmission specialist for daf. Mine was set up by myself. The back lash was spot on to fords tolerance and the contact pattern between the cwp was a nice tooth imprint on the crown wheel from the pinion in the middle of the teeth with the yellow contact paint we use at work
