Looks better this morning. I heated it up with a 1kw heater before I painted it and tonight after 24hrs I will tinfoil the hell out of my gas bbq and put it inside for 1.5 hrs at 150 degrees hopefully that should bake it as I’ve seen online suggestions

I've lacquered and not, with mixed results....my best attempt wasn't lacquered.
