Not sure I would sand blast one as never certain you have all the sand out and wouldn’t want that in my oil. I had mine vapour blasted.
good paint suppliers can make up rattle cans, they are much better quality.
Not sure what paint mine has on it but 22 years after it was done it still looks good!
