The comparison with the shipping from Spain is a good point but nobody drove to Spain and back to get your box, it would have been part of a shipment on a large lorry / van.
My friend has started a covered car collection delivery service and he was asked to quote for a supercar from Italy, he quoted about £1500 round trip to cover all costs and the person came back and said he got a bloke to do it for £250 or less.
I appreciate what your saying but they said they use a freight company so it would just be a part load, if it was delivered and set up etc the price would be fair.
I may well double check that it doesn't include set up
Or get a quote from Shipley or similar
