I am with the rac and have used them a few times, their service has always been spot on. They do try and sting you at renewal time though but it's quite easy to get it knocked down.
Agree totally. I always ring up and ask for RSOC discount and they cant find it but always knock a chunk off. RAC cover the people so any car you are in is covered.
