Maybe line it up based on the Ackerman being right as that would determine the correct location. The “V” of the Ackerman needs to meet in the centre of the rear diff and the arms need to line up with the imaginary line through ball joint and steering arms..
Hi Caddyshack,
I have a rough understanding of Ackerman but I'm not sure how you'd use this to calculate the wheelbase. The Escort is completely disassembled so can't really take any measurements off of this car, the XR4x4 is still intact though.
