I do partially agree with you, I’d love a modern spec 4x4 that handles well and has a fast spooling 500hp engine which I think is the max I could use in my area and have an oldskool laggy 2wd. For me the first thing that made me fall in love with a cossie was the power delivery, they feel so fucking fast compared to more modern turbo cars and you will loose that mighty midrange surge with a new turbo.

I do agree with what you say about the "character " of a cossie, Its all down to personal preference, some want to modernise everything they can which suits them and some still like it to be a 90s performance car. I hate seeing Saffs with a boot load of speakers and screens mounted on top of the seats etc.To me its the wrong car to do that to.
Was out in my old school 2wd yesterday in the freezing cold and it never fails to make me smile at the way it performs.
