These standard subs are decent. It sounded well in my old ST170. I had always wondered what it would sound like with a decent sub fitted instead of the Ford one.
Not sue if I ever answered your question Paul, but the sub sounds good in the ST, really pleased with it
I had a couple of issues with humming and buzzing, but it was down to my dodgy wiring into the head unit. I fixed that an it's been fne ever since. When you crank it up it really does add plenty of bass
