Wiggle the key in the lock. You need to disengage the key lock for the steering lock to release - then you'll be able to get the steering wheel back on.
I’ve tried wiggling the key but it’s just not working. I got a spanner and put it on the steering column and I was able to turn the wheels so I’m not sure what’s going on as it was fine before I took it off.
