Didn't they say that about another limited edition homologation special last year, an S1 RS Turbo? Remember the outrage at a Ford Escort going for 60k. Aren't there only about 150 of these left?
I think it has been bid up to garner interest and be a talking point to be honest but who's to say it's not worth it when you have old Ferraris that would get mashed by £1500 worth of BMW 330i going for 1/2 million.
It's a fine line between appreciated rarity and badge snobbery
