It is hard to understand why the 3rd party are proposing to settle your claim at such a low sum, especially considering the fact that 3 years has passed since the accident.

If you are unhappy with the medical assessment you have been subjected to and the findings of the experts report, this should be contested fully with the 3rd party. Your own Solicitor should be more than willing to contest this for you - if you are able to identify mistakes within the report or locate issues that the expert has ignored (such as your ongoing symptoms).

As a claims specialist with over 20 years experience in this sector, it is often the case that claimants are surprised by the settlement values that they are awarded. Understandably, most claimants have no idea what a fair compensation settlement sum would be for their personal injury claim. With this in mind, I find it helpful to make sure people understand how a compensation settlement valuation is reached and what is taken in to account to form the valuation of a personal injury claim. I have previously written an article on this subject for my own compensation claims website. I thought you may wish to read it? If so, it is here for you. I hope you find it useful!
