Crankshaft lower left, aircon to the right of it, alternator above aircon all should have ribbed pulleys. The tensioner should be smooth above the crankshaft pulley so it should only go on one way, you might have the wrong belt if it won't go on.
Yes that's correct, I will have to check where I got the belt even though a thin part of the original belt survived and is the same length as the new one.
