As above, I would think that the offside would be ok due to the bearing carrier. If it was nearside, did you fit a new spring clip when you fitted the shaft? My car suffered from a shaft popping out due to an old clip being used once.

is happening with two different sets of shafts (standard foci and RS) - but no i havent tried a new spring...apart from splines does anthing else need to line up or does the driveshaft just push in?
