A genuine Escort wheel is 8" wide and the offset is 25.
I had 7.5" Comp MOs ET 37 iirc on my mk 6 and they barely cleared the arches.
The Mondeo wheels are the correct offset for the Escort and they are only 6.5" wide so have no clearance issues.
