I think that the Emtron can control the speed it runs at with the right pump. I would like the ecu wired to fuel pressure so that if it begins to fail it would cut power to stop the car running lean under boost.
You can also benefit with checking fuel temp to ensure the fuel system is not overheating the fuel.
the Emtron also adjusts fueling for pressure diff between lag of reg or over pressure also. It will also have cut for big pressure loss.
