Rgds the hissing sound,it's just the serpentine belt getting run in,that's what gives it it's name.

No, it's not. I found the cause, it was the inter-cooler hoses weren't on properly and once I tightened them up and pushed them on more the noise stopped, must have been air getting in

Hi there, I have a 1.8tdci 06 plate focus, mine also sounds like an angry snake, could you take a picture of the hose please so I can stop mine sucking air in also.

Did this also fix the cold heaters?
