It broke down again yesterday and I was two and a half hours again waiting for the RAC. Since I broke down on 31st December I have done a couple of hundred miles and nor used much in the way of battery power. Yet the car battery was dead again. The fan still keeps on for some 20 minutes now and again but they told me that was quite normal. The car is 4 months old and now has 870 miles on the clock.
The RAC engineer jump started the car and then I drove straight to the Ford dealer. I asked for a new battery but they said it might not be that and they want to investigate. I had to leave it there and they say it may take up to a week because they have so many cars booked in for a service.
Meanwhile they have arranged for a courtesy car I can use until they say my car is ready.
I love Ford cars, mainly because of the front heated windscreen. But this has been a nightmare from the first day.
There must be grounds to reject the car under the sale of good act
