Just check the fuel pressure at cold through to hot. Will soon tell you what the WUR is doing. Golf GTI 16v/Capri/many other WURS can be modified to be adjustable as mentioned - always a good mod.
how is it adjusted on the xr3i I don't see any adjusting screws or anything unable to test
