Yep deffo a good all rounder, OP said everyday car so it's a good shout, reliable, practical, turn of pace. To be fair the vag group stifle the performance so they don't outsell the sporty golfs and Leon's but they chip very well. Always get sound ratings when pistonheads/EVO etc have them long term.
For a 10k performance car for occasional use you could deffo do better
Do the 2.0 vrs suffer from the piston ring fault the the audi 2.0 turbo petrol suffer from ie extremely high oil consumption.
Think it's the 2.0 fsi or tfsi can't remember which one.
