I've just changed my sump from the one piece early sump to the later two piece sump for these reason. After a trip to knockhill and one session with the one piece sump it suffered oil surge causing the most damage to no'1 rod and crank. I got the sump baffled but never tryed it.
thats my worst fear .my local track has lots and lots of sharp bends on it and i was also afraid of getting surge
