Tried today (rust-o-leum peel coat which is pretty much the same stuff) it worked pretty well on my skodas grill. It doesn't hide as much chipping and chrome peel as I'd have liked it to do, and it will never be anywhere near as good as a sand/prime/2k job, but for a tenner a can and being so easy and reversible, I think its pretty good.
